Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer – Database Developer with strong expertise in Perl, Python, Linux Shell Scripting, and MySQL/MariaDB. The candidate will be responsible for developing, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting database-related scripts across different product versions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Perl, Python, and Linux Shell scripts for database-related applications.
• Develop and maintain MySQL/MariaDB database scripts, queries, and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve MariaDB script failures and database-related defects.
• Design and modify Perl/Python/Shell scripts based on product and database requirements.
• Perform testing of scripts across different product versions and environments.
• Analyze defects, identify root causes, and implement appropriate fixes.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain technical documentation related to scripts, database changes, and troubleshooting.

Required Technical Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in:
• Perl
• Python
• Linux/Unix Shell Scripting
• MySQL / MariaDB
• Strong experience in database development and scripting.
• Experience troubleshooting MariaDB/MySQL script failures.
• Good understanding of SQL, database queries, stored procedures, and database troubleshooting.
• Experience in script development, modification, debugging, and testing.
• Strong Linux/Unix environment experience.

Good to Have

• Experience with AI Agents / Codex.
• Exposure to Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Helix Swarm, Perforce, and Git.
• Exposure to Cisco CDET bug/ticketing system.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
