Role Overview

We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to build and scale high-performance systems for a product-based environment. The role involves working on core backend architecture, APIs, and scalable services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of applications
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Participate in system design and architecture discussions
• Proficiency in Node.js, and TypeScript, APIs, databases.
• Experience working with and building backend systems that have been used in the real world.
• Ability to navigate different stages of product development from scrappy MVPs to scalable

architectures.

Must-Have Requirements

• 36 years of backend development experience
• Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript
• Solid understanding of APIs, backend architecture, and system design basics
• Experience working in product-based companies (mandatory)
• Good problem-solving skills and understanding of data structures

Good to Have

• Experience with NestJS
• Exposure to microservices architecture
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

Candidate Profile

• Open to relocation to Mumbai if currently based elsewhere
• Preference for candidates who have worked across multiple cities/locations, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
• Comfortable with 5-day work-from-office setup
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in fast-paced product environments

Additional Notes

• Candidates who have spent their entire career in a single city without relocation exposure may not be ideal for this role
• Immediate or Seving to 60-day notice period candidates preferred
