Job Summary We are seeking an experienced PowerBuilder 6.5 Programmer to maintain, enhance, and support legacy business applications. The ideal candidate should have robust expertise in PowerBuilder development, SQL programming, database management, and an interest in up-to-date AI technologies to help improve business processes and application capabilities. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance applications built using PowerBuilder 6.5. Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions. Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects. Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolutions. Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation. Work with database administrators and business users to ensure application performance and data integrity. Participate in migration and modernization initiatives for legacy applications. Explore and implement AI-assisted solutions to improve productivity, reporting, document processing, and workflow automation. Integrate applications with APIs and external systems where required. Support production environments and provide user assistance. Technical Skills Required Mandatory Skills Robust experience in PowerBuilder 6.5 development. Proficiency in SQL (query writing, joins, views, indexes, stored procedures). Experience with Oracle Database (preferably Oracle 8i/9i and above). Understanding of client-server application architecture. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience in application debugging and performance tuning. Preferred Skills Knowledge of PowerBuilder migration strategies to newer versions. Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, and web services. Experience with source control tools such as Git, SVN, or similar. Exposure to Windows Server environments.
