Trackbeat builds an industrial IoT predictive maintenance platform. Our wireless vibration sensors collect machine health data, and our software turns that data into early warnings so manufacturers can fix equipment before it fails. Hardware gets the data in; the real value is in the software and AI layer.

The Role

We want a developer who owns outcomes, not just tickets. You'll work directly with the founder to design, build and ship the core platform: data ingestion, analytics, AI-driven insights and the customer-facing app. You'll be expected to think about what needs to be delivered, question assumptions and look at problems from different angles before writing code.

What you will do

• Design and build backend services and APIs that ingest and process high-frequency sensor data
• Build data pipelines and time-series storage for vibration, temperature and device telemetry
• Integrate ML models for anomaly detection and fault prediction into production services
• Build LLM-powered features: maintenance insights, natural-language queries over machine data, automated reports
• Contribute to the web dashboard used by maintenance and reliability teams
• Work with the hardware team on device-to-cloud communication (gateways, MQTT, edge devices)
• Own features end to end: scoping, design, implementation, testing, deployment and monitoring
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and help shape engineering standards.

What you bring-

• 5–7 years of professional software development experience
• Strong software fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, system design, OOP and design patterns, concurrency, database design
• Solid understanding of AI/ML fundamentals: supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and when (and when not) to use ML
• Hands-on experience with LLMs: prompt design, RAG, embeddings, tool calling, agent frameworks
• Strong Python (FastAPI or similar); working knowledge of TypeScript/React/Next.js
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and REST API design
• Comfortable with Git, Docker, CI/CD and cloud deployment
• Product mindset and clear written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• IoT, time-series data or signal processing experience
• MQTT, edge computing or embedded/firmware integration
• Time-series databases (TimescaleDB, InfluxDB)
• Industrial, manufacturing or predictive maintenance domain background
• Early-stage startup experience/
