Snowflake/Python Developer - Data Engineering (India)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Python Developer with 5 years of IT experience and strong expertise in Snowflake Data Warehouse, Advanced SQL, and Python. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing scalable data solutions, building data pipelines, and working with cloud-based data warehouse platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data solutions using Snowflake Data Warehouse.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and processing.
• Write robust and reusable Python scripts and applications for data processing and automation.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows for loading and transforming data in Snowflake.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and validation.
• Optimize Snowflake queries, workloads, and data models for performance and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline, SQL, and application-related issues.
• Develop automated processes using Python to improve data engineering workflows.
• Work with cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and data validation.
• Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
• Support production deployments and resolve data-related issues.
• Maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, SQL processes, and solutions.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 5 years of IT experience.
• Solid hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and complex query development.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with ETL/ELT and data warehousing concepts.
• Good understanding of data modeling and database concepts.
• Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Stored Procedures.
• Experience with data integration and orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise data engineering projects. .
