Senior Test Automation Engineer (.NET/Playwright)

Senior test automation engineer needed to strengthen a delivery team at Svenska kraftnät, building robust, secure and well-tested systems in a.NET/React environment. You will act as a technical specialist for test automation (primarily Playwright with C#/.NET), contribute to development work, code reviews and technical design decisions around quality and testability, and help evolve test strategy, CI/CD quality gates, and test data management. The solution processes large volumes of data supporting operational planning for the Swedish transmission grid, with high IT security requirements and close collaboration across developers, testers, DevOps, architects and business users.

Responsibilities

• For Svenska kraftnät we are now looking for a Tester (test automation) Competency level: Level 4
• The work primarily involves an application that handles and processes large amounts of data to support operational planning of the Swedish transmission grid. The team primarily develops in C# (.NET) and React (Typescript/Javascript). IT security is a priority area.
• The consultant will work closely with product owners, scrum masters, system developers and testers. The work is also carried out in collaboration with users, primarily power system analysts, as well as other stakeholders such as DevOps Engineers, domain and solution architects and project managers.
• Since the business has high security requirements, purchased or in-house developed locally operated solutions and shared Nordic services are primarily used.
• Manual Testing: When needed, you will conduct manual testing of systems to identify bugs, security vulnerabilities, and performance issues not captured by automated tests.
• Test data management: Create, manage, and maintain test data for various test scenarios. Ensure that test environments reflect the production environment as closely as possible.
• CI/CD and DevOps: Responsible for ensuring that quality assurance activities are integrated into the CI/CD flow and that automated tests are used as quality gates in the delivery process.
• Collaboration and training: Coach and support the team's developers in testability, test automation and quality-driven system development.
• Testing strategy: Further develop the team's testing strategy and processes to ensure high quality of deliveries
• Test Coordination: Plan and coordinate the team's testing activities, collaborate within the team, as well as with other teams to ensure that testing is an integral part of the development cycle.

• The time required to arrive at Svenska kraftnät's office in Sundbyberg shall be a maximum of 2 hours, from the time the consultant is notified of the appointment until the consultant is on site and can begin the work.
