Skills and Competencies

• 5+ years of software engineering experience developing modern full-stack applications and platform services
• Strong expertise in Java, C#/.NET, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native application architectures
• Experience with relational databases specifically Microsoft SQL Server, NoSQL technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL Server Database Administration (DBA) and SQL Server performance tuning preferred.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, scalability, performance engineering, testing, and operational excellence
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and deliver high-quality solutions in complex enterprise environments Education
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain both backend platform services and modern frontend user experiences
• Build scalable APIs and cloud-native systems supporting core platform capabilities
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into secure, high-performing applications
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical reviews, and software quality initiatives
• Identify and resolve technical challenges while promoting best practices for maintainability and reliability
• Support innovation, modernization, and continuous platform improvement efforts across the organization About the Team

The Intelligent Risk Platform - Data Platform team builds and operates highly scalable Data platform services powering Moody's Insurance products. Team members work with modern technologies spanning cloud platforms, distributed systems, data engineering, and high-performance application development.
