Senior SEO Specialist

About the Role

Backdropsource is a fast-growing global e-commerce brand delivering custom-printed backdrops and fabrics to customers across the US, UK, and Australia. We're looking for a Senior SEO Expert to own our organic search strategy end-to-end. This is a strategic and hands-on role — you'll be responsible for technical SEO, content strategy, and measurable organic growth across a multi-market Shopify storefront.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end SEO strategy for backdropsource.com across the US, UK, and Australian markets
• Run regular technical SEO audits covering crawlability, indexing, site speed, Core Web Vitals, and structured data
• Lead keyword research and content strategy, working closely with the content and design teams on SEO-friendly pages and blogs
• Drive on-page optimization across product, category, and landing pages, including metadata, internal linking, and schema markup
• Build and execute a link-building and authority strategy to improve domain rankings
• Manage multi-market/international SEO considerations such as hreflang tags, geo-targeting, and localized content
• Track and report on rankings, organic traffic, and conversions using GA4, Google Search Console, and tools like Semrush/Ahrefs
• Conduct ongoing competitor analysis and translate findings into action plans

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably with an e-commerce brand
• Strong technical SEO knowledge, including Shopify-specific SEO nuances
• Proven track record of driving measurable organic growth in traffic and revenue
• Proficiency with Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and GA4
• Solid understanding of content marketing and how it ties into search performance
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with design, content, and development teams

Nice to Have

• Experience optimizing SEO for US, UK, and/or Australian markets simultaneously
• Familiarity with Shopify SEO apps and page-speed optimization tools
• Background in link-building/outreach or digital PR
