Senior React / Next.js Engineer (Contract)

Position: Senior Frontend / Full-Stack Engineer (React & Next.js)

Engagement: Contract (Full-Time, 40 hours/week)

Duration: Approx. 3 months (Early October 2026 – December 2026 / Early January 2027)

Overview

We are looking for a Senior React & Next.js Developer to step directly into an active, modern web application and deliver impact independently from day one. In this role, you will take ownership of key feature tracks, optimize performance and architecture, and uphold top-tier code quality and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Feature Development & Architecture: Build, enhance, and maintain complex, highly responsive UI features using React and Next.js (SSR / Server Components).
• Auth & Integrations: Integrate and harden authentication/authorization flows and ensure secure, seamless session handling.
• Engineering Excellence: Provide senior-level leadership in code reviews (PRs), maintain clean component abstractions, and ensure robust error handling and test coverage.
• DevOps & Delivery: Leverage modern CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and standard cloud/hosting workflows to ensure smooth, reliable releases.
• Independent Execution: Take high-level requirements, break them down, and drive implementations end-to-end with minimal supervision.

What We Are Looking For

• Deep React & UI Expertise: 5+ years of solid hands-on experience building performant, scalable, component-driven user interfaces.
• Next.js & SSR Mastery: Strong production experience with Next.js architectures (App Router / Pages Router, SSR, SSG, data fetching, and state management).
• Authentication Systems: Proven experience implementing secure client/server authentication patterns.
• Strong DevOps / Engineering Practices: Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines, containerization/hosting, linting, and modern build tooling.
• Senior Engineering Mindset: Strong PR hygiene, attention to edge cases/performance bottlenecks, and constructive code review habits.

Engagement Details

• Hours: 40 hours/week (Full-Time commitment)
• Contract Length: ~3 months with potential for extension based on project milestones
• Availability: Immediate or early October 2026 start
