Senior Power BI Developer – DAX, SQL & Snowflake

We’re looking for a Senior Power BI Developer to build trusted reporting for a US-based investment management client. You’ll turn business requirements into semantic models, DAX measures and dashboards on curated Snowflake data, and own report accuracy, performance and consistent KPI definitions.

What you’ll do

• Gather and clarify reporting requirements, KPI definitions, acceptance criteria and business calculation rules
• Build Power BI semantic models, relationships, DAX measures, Power Query transformations, dashboards and reports
• Consume approved Snowflake Gold datasets and coordinate data marts and dimensional models with the data lead
• Choose connectivity and refresh approaches; configure schedules and monitor refresh reliability
• Implement approved row-level security and workspace access
• Validate report totals, calculations, filters and drill paths, and reconcile results with trusted data
• Maintain a governed KPI and measure inventory with definitions, ownership and source traceability
• Optimize model size, query behavior, visual performance and usability
• Support UAT, defect resolution, controlled report promotion and production handover
• Create report documentation and run end-user walkthroughs and knowledge transfer

What you bring

• 5+ years in BI development, including 3+ years of hands-on Power BI
• Strong Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL and dimensional modeling
• Production dashboards and semantic models on Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse
• Row-level security, refresh troubleshooting, performance optimization and deployment practices
• Reporting reconciliation, KPI validation and business UAT support
• Clear communication with business users and solid technical and functional documentation

Nice to have: financial services sales, customer, advisor or account reporting; familiarity with dbt models, data quality tests and MDM golden-record consumption; Power BI certification; Git or Azure DevOps reporting workflows.
