About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Node.js / NestJS Developer with 5+ years of backend development experience to join our engineering team.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Node.js, NestJS, SQL/NoSQL databases, microservices, asynchronous processing, AWS, system design, and CI/CD. The candidate should be comfortable designing scalable backend systems, optimizing application and database performance, and working closely with frontend and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and NestJS.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Build and maintain microservices-based architectures.
• Design database schemas and optimize queries for high-performance applications.
• Work with MySQL/PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including indexing, aggregation, transactions, and query optimization.
• Implement queues, background jobs, scheduled tasks, and asynchronous processing.
• Work with messaging/queue technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, BullMQ, or equivalent.
• Design reliable and scalable systems considering performance, availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Work with AWS services for application deployment, storage, databases, messaging, monitoring, and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment.
• Follow Git-based version control practices and collaborate through code reviews and pull requests.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in system design and technical architecture discussions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers working with React/Angular to design and integrate APIs effectively.

The candidate should be comfortable collaborating with frontend developers and understanding how backend APIs are consumed by web applications.
