Senior Full Stack Developer – PHP / Laravel

Job Description

• Develop, enhance, maintain, secure, and optimize web applications.
• Work extensively with PHP, Laravel, MySQL/SQL, and MongoDB.
• Handle both backend and frontend development.
• Understand existing applications and codebases, identify technical issues, and implement architectural improvements.
• Independently develop new modules and take ownership of assigned projects from development through deployment.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party APIs.
• Follow MVC architecture and OOP principles.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control.
• Write clean, reusable, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Understand and modify existing applications and backend systems.

Database Management

• Work extensively with MySQL / SQL and MongoDB.
• Design efficient database structures, relationships, and queries.
• Handle complex queries, joins, indexing, and database optimization.
• Perform database performance tuning.
• Manage large-volume data processing.
• Identify and resolve database-related performance issues.

Frontend Development

• Work on frontend components of web applications using:
• HTML5
• CSS3
• JavaScript
• jQuery
• AJAX
• Bootstrap or similar frontend frameworks
• Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs.

API & Integration

• Develop and integrate REST APIs.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Work with JSON and API-based communication.
• Troubleshoot API integration and connectivity issues.

Application Performance & Security

• Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Identify and fix coding issues and security vulnerabilities.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Follow web application security and secure coding practices.
• Optimize applications for high-volume data and traffic.

Development & Deployment

• Use Git / GitHub / GitLab for version control.
• Follow proper software development and coding practices.
• Handle assigned modules from development to deployment.
• Work with Linux/server environments.
• Support production deployments and troubleshoot live application issues.
• Perform code reviews and maintain coding standards.
