Senior Frontend Engineer – React

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer with strong expertise in React to join our engineering team.

The role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining modern, scalable, and high-performance web applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in React architecture, state management, frontend performance optimization, API integration, testing, and modern frontend development practices. The candidate will also work closely with backend engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable React components.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces based on product and design requirements.
• Implement effective state management using technologies such as Redux Toolkit(RTK), Context API, or equivalent solutions.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, experience integrating WebSockets and other backend services.
• Optimize frontend performance, page load times, rendering, and overall user experience.
• Implement responsive designs that work effectively across different browsers and devices.
• Develop reusable UI components and establish frontend development standards.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and testable code.
• Implement automated frontend testing and contribute to overall application quality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to other developers.
• Mentor junior frontend developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
• Work closely with backend engineers to define and consume APIs effectively.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to develop new features.
• Troubleshoot frontend issues and production defects.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Stay current with modern React, JavaScript/TypeScript, frontend frameworks, tools, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with significant experience working with React.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of React concepts including:
• Hooks
• Component architecture
• State management
• Context API
• Reusable components
• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern frontend development practices.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Experience with frontend build tools and bundlers such as Vite, Webpack, or Babel.
• Strong understanding of browser performance optimization and frontend scalability.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Experience with automated frontend testing frameworks.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and modern software development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Next.js.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar modern CSS frameworks.
• Experience building large-scale, enterprise-level web applications.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture and design patterns.
• Experience with WebSockets or real-time applications.
• Experiance with Server Side Rendering in React
• Experience with accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience working with cloud-based applications.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or taking technical ownership of frontend projects.
• Exposure to microservices-based applications and distributed systems.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
