We need sharp analytical minds to help us evaluate, structure, and finance the projects that will shape tomorrow's energy landscape.
As a Financial Analyst within our AIFA team, you will play a key role in assessing greenfield and M&A opportunities. Your financial models and analyses will directly influence investment decisions and help secure the funding that turns ambitious plans into operational assets.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain financial models for project valuations in line with ENGIE's investment guidelines and modelling standards.
- Conduct financial analyses, review third-party models, and perform model audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support the structuring and execution of project financing plans, including bank selection and funding source evaluation.
- Prepare accounting and tax impact assessments within financial models, collaborating with internal experts and external advisors.
- Analyze risk allocation, bankability considerations, and tax optimization strategies for new transactions.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal AIFA methodologies and analytical tools.
- Collaborate with senior team members on cross-regional transactions spanning India, the Middle East, and Africa.
What You Bring
- A degree in Finance, Economics, or Engineering, or a professional qualification such as CFA, CIMA, ACA, or ACCA.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within project finance, financial advisory, or investment analysis.
- Proven financial modelling expertise with advanced Excel skills, including the ability to write basic Macros.
- Solid understanding of financial valuation methodologies, accounting principles, and tax structuring.
- Familiarity with energy markets and risk allocation frameworks; exposure to renewables in India, the Middle East, or Africa is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills in English; French is an advantage.
Location
Pune or Mumbai, India. This is an on-site role. Travel to the Middle East and Africa region is expected based on project requirements.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary package aligned with your experience and qualifications.
- Clear career progression within a global energy leader operating across multiple continents.
- Diverse and stimulating missions spanning greenfield developments, acquisitions, and project financings across emerging markets.
- A collaborative and friendly work environment where knowledge sharing is encouraged.
- Exposure to complex, high-impact transactions that directly contribute to the global energy transition.
- Flexibility and support to maintain a healthy work-life balance alongside demanding project timelines.
