About Katyayani Organics

Katyayani Organics is a Bhopal-based manufacturer and brand of agricultural inputs (crop protection, crop nutrition and organic products). We sell to farmers and retailers across India through our own apps, website and retail network, and export to more than 40 countries. The Accounts & Finance team is being strengthened to support this growth with sharper costing, tighter controls and better visibility of cash, inventory and projects.

About the role

This role gives management one reliable view of inventory across every plant and warehouse: how much we hold, what it is worth, how much we lose to wastage, and how much we will need next season. You will also run budget vs. actual monitoring for the plants.

Key responsibilities

  • Plant-wise inventory: track raw material, packing material, work-in-progress and finished goods by plant and warehouse, with monthly valuation.
  • Stock reconciliation: reconcile book stock with physical stock; plan and supervise periodic physical verification and cycle counts.
  • Wastage and yield: measure process loss, yield and wastage by plant and product; separate normal from abnormal loss and follow up on root causes.
  • Ageing and expiry: report slow-moving, non-moving and near-expiry stock (agri products have shelf life) and push for liquidation or write-off decisions in time.
  • Seasonal forecasting: build Kharif and Rabi demand and stock forecasts with sales, purchase, and supply chain; recommend stock norms and reorder levels.
  • Budget vs actuals: prepare plant budgets and monitor monthly actuals, with clear variance analysis (material, labour, overhead, volume).
  • Working capital: track inventory days and stock holding cost; flag excess stock and lock-up of funds.
  • Bank stock statements: provide accurate inventory figures for monthly stock statements and drawing power calculations submitted to banks.
  • Cost records: maintain cost records and support cost audit and statutory audit on inventory.

Must-have skills

  • CMA qualification with hands-on inventory accounting and costing in a multi-location manufacturing set-up.
  • Inventory valuation methods (weighted average, FIFO), stock reconciliation and physical verification.
  • Variance analysis and budgeting.
