The Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager - Machinery Service Support

role provides machinery installation and service support for industrial manufacturing clients. The position independently leads machine installation and turnkey projects from kick-off through to final handover, ensuring timely delivery, safety compliance, execution quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Manage end-to-end turnkey projects and machine installations, from planning and scheduling through to final commissioning and handover
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal and site teams, including coordination on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing requirements
• Monitoring and Control: Track project progress, identify risks and delays, and implement corrective actions to meet timeline, cost, and quality targets
• Safety and Quality: Ensure strict compliance with industrial safety requirements, permit systems, and quality standards at project sites
• Commissioning: Lead machinery installation, testing, final acceptance, and successful handover to customers
• Documentation: Prepare and submit Management Information System reports, progress updates, handover dossiers, and project closure documents
• Commercial Support: Assist with scope reviews, subcontractor coordination, and sales tracking
• Service Support: Provide field service and maintenance support after machinery installation as required
• Site Management: Travel extensively and independently manage on-site project execution responsibilities

Requirements

• Diploma or engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics
• Five to eight years of experience in machinery installation, industrial projects, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works, or turnkey project execution within automotive or manufacturing project environments
• Experience handling machinery installation projects and providing service support following installation
• Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, site execution, vendor management, and customer coordination
• Ability to manage the complete project lifecycle independently with minimal supervision
• Strong documentation and reporting skills, including the preparation of handover dossiers and project closure documents
• Solid understanding of industrial safety standards, execution quality, and delay prevention
• Strong English communication skills, with proficiency in additional languages considered an advantage
• Experience in maintenance, service engineering, or after-sales support will be an advantage
• A self-driven approach, strong ownership, and a focus on successful customer handover
• Willingness to visit customer sites across Karnataka
