Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager - Process Planning

Role & responsibilities

Plan, organize, and coordinate the installation and commissioning of plant machinery and equipment.

Lead new product introduction studies, ensuring manufacturability using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.

Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities to support product launches.

Oversee and guide tool and fixture design to meet production needs.

Prepare, review, and maintain detailed process documentation including process flow charts, QCPC, PFMEA- AIAG & VDA

Develop strategies for plant layout, machine utilization, and workflow optimization.

Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams for equipment procurement, installation, and validation.

Troubleshoot and resolve process, machinery, or layout issues.

Mentor junior engineers and team members on process planning and plant setup best practices.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards during plant setup and operation.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Mechanical.

Minimum 810 years of experience in process planning, plant setup, or manufacturing engineering.

Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA, APQP,PFMEA and tool design. BLDC Motor Process design

Hands-on experience with machinery and equipment planning and layout.

Proven track record in organizing plant machinery installation and commissioning.

Excellent process documentation and project management skills.

Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination abilities.

Preferred Skills

Experience in Motor, BLDC, Induction motor - Stator Winding, Sun roof Motor, Traction Motor.

Familiarity with CAD and process simulation tools.

Knowledge of ERP/MES systems.

Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certifications. .
