Senior Data scientist -Pharma Domain

We are looking for an experienced Python Machine Learning / AI Engineer with strong expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, and Generative AI (GenAI). The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions that address complex business problems.

Experience in the Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences domain will be highly preferred, particularly candidates who have worked on healthcare, clinical, drug discovery, pharmacovigilance, medical data, or related use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Machine Learning and Deep Learning models using Python.
• Develop NLP solutions for processing and analyzing structured and unstructured text data.
• Build and implement Generative AI / LLM-based applications for enterprise use cases.
• Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, model development, validation, and optimization.
• Develop scalable AI/ML pipelines and integrate models into production applications.
• Work with LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and RAG architectures.
• Evaluate and fine-tune AI/ML models based on business and technical requirements.
• Develop solutions for text classification, information extraction, semantic search, document intelligence, summarization, and other NLP use cases.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and domain experts to deliver production-ready AI solutions.
• Monitor model performance and continuously improve accuracy, reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Follow best practices for model development, testing, deployment, documentation, and version control.
• Stay current with emerging developments in GenAI, LLMs, NLP, and AI/ML technologies.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and methodologies.
• Strong experience in Deep Learning.
• Strong knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI / LLMs.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.
• Strong understanding of data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and optimization.
• Good understanding of AI/ML model deployment and productionization.

GenAI Skills – Preferred

• Experience with LLMs such as OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Llama, or similar models.
• Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and LLM evaluation.
• Experience with embeddings and vector databases.
• Exposure to frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex.
• Experience building AI-powered applications, copilots, chatbots, or intelligent automation solutions.
