About the Role

The Senior Compliance Manager - IBU will primarily focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance at GIFT City IBU. This role supports the Compliance and Principal Officer (CO & PO) of IBU in ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and managing AML/KYC compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

· Monitor and investigate AML transaction alerts, identify suspicious activities, and coordinate timely disposition with stakeholders.

· Prepare, validate, and support regulatory submissions including STR, CTR, and other AML/CFT reporting requirements.

· Manage Customer Risk Rating (CRR) processes, including customer risk assessments, risk categorization and trigger-based reviews.

· Ensure compliance with KYC, CDD, EDD, and periodic Re-KYC requirements in line with IFSCA regulations and internal policies.

· Perform periodic AML/CFT compliance reviews and monitor adherence to regulatory and internal control frameworks.

· Support enhancement of AML systems, transaction monitoring scenarios, thresholds, and risk-based controls to strengthen financial crime risk management.

· Coordinate with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders during inspections, audits, and remediation of compliance observations.

· Partner with Business, Operations, Risk, Technology, and Product teams to provide AML/KYC compliance advisory and support.

· Track regulatory developments, update AML/KYC policies and procedures, and promote compliance awareness through training initiatives.

Secondary Responsibilities

· Interact with the IFSCA Authority as required.

· Assist CO in formulating and periodically reviewing Policies, Product Notes, SOPs, and SLAs related to IBU.

· Support CO in delegated activities.

· Coordinate with HO Compliance Contact and CO for IBU-related activities, including data preparation for return submissions and ad-hoc regulatory requests.

· Undertake delegated activities in the absence of CO and PO.

· Perform other compliance activities as assigned by the governing body.

What We Are Looking For

Education

  • Graduation: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
  • Post-graduation: MBA or PGDM.

Experience

  • 3 years of relevant experience in compliance, particularly in AML and KYC.

Skills and Attributes

· Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations and compliance frameworks.

· Ability to interpret and implement regulatory guidelines.

· Effective communication skills for interaction with regulators and internal stakeholders.

· Analytical skills to monitor and assess compliance risks.

· Proficiency in preparing regulatory reports and documentation.

  • Adaptability to work in a dynamic regulatory environment.
