Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role

Dev Group of Properties is looking for a capable and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to oversee on-site construction activities, coordinate contractors and consultants, monitor project progress, and ensure that work is executed according to approved drawings, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong site leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to drive timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities across assigned project sites.
• Ensure execution is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, contractors, subcontractors, and site supervisors.
• Monitor daily progress, manpower deployment, material requirements, and equipment utilisation.
• Review drawings and identify discrepancies or execution challenges before work proceeds.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, site safety procedures, and approved construction methods.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate testing and rectification of defects.
• Track project milestones, delays, and pending activities; prepare regular progress reports for management.
• Verify site measurements and coordinate with QS, procurement, and accounts teams for billing and material reconciliation.
• Maintain daily site reports, inspection records, work schedules, and other project documentation.
• Resolve site-level technical issues and escalate major risks or deviations to management.
• Ensure efficient coordination between site teams and management to achieve project targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Preferably 5–8 years of experience in building construction or real estate development.
• Strong knowledge of RCC, structural works, finishing, waterproofing, and general civil construction.
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, labour, and site execution.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD; familiarity with project planning tools is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, reporting, and communication skills.

Job Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Employment Type: Full-time, on-site

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
