About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer (Python) to join our engineering team and work on backend services, APIs, automation, and integration solutions for a large-scale enterprise analytics platform.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Python backend development, REST APIs, automation, and AWS services, with the ability to build scalable solutions and support production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based backend services and applications.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend components.
• Build and maintain automation workflows and enterprise integration solutions.
• Own and enhance automated email/notification workflows and related backend processes.
• Develop scheduled and event-driven workflows using Apache Airflow and other automation tools.
• Work with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, and S3.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement timely fixes and enhancements.
• Optimize backend services for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with data engineers, frontend developers, and other technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python and backend application development.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience building automation and integration solutions.
• Good understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, and scalable application development.
• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, SQS, and S3.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting production applications.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work on-site from Mumbai.

Good to Have

• Experience working with large-scale enterprise analytics platforms.
• Exposure to Oil & Gas or other enterprise domains.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with automated notification or email delivery systems.
