We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with 6–9 years of professional software development experience, including at least 5 years of strong hands-on experience with Node.js. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of backend architecture, API development, databases, cloud technologies, and scalable distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using Node.js.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Design efficient database schemas, queries, indexing, and data-access layers.
• Implement authentication, authorization, security, and data protection best practices.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and resource utilization.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Work with message queues/event-driven systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.
• Deploy and manage backend services using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6–9 years of overall experience in backend/software development.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Node.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Strong experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node.js frameworks.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, authentication, and authorization.
• Good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience designing scalable and distributed backend systems.
• Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of cloud services, preferably AWS.
• Experience writing unit, integration, and API tests.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Good communication and team-collaboration skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, and SQS.
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with system design and high-availability architectures.
• Knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
