Senior Backend Developer (Java)

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer with 6+ years of experience to design, develop, and scale high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and API development and will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.Build and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations.Collaborate with product managers, architects, and frontend teams to deliver high-quality solutions.Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and code reviews.Work with databases and data models to support scalable applications.Ensure application reliability, security, and performance.Mentor junior developers and contribute to team technical growth.

Requirements

6+ years of experience in backend development using Java.Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and microservices architecture.Experience building RESTful APIs and distributed systems.Good understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, and system design.Hands-on experience with SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred).Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools.Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in high-scale backend systems or enterprise applications.Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems.Exposure to geospatial or telecom-related platforms is a plus.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
