Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend API Developer to design and build enterprise-grade backend systems and cloud-native microservices. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot) or Python, along with working knowledge of GoLang, and experience developing scalable REST APIs, enterprise integrations, and cloud-native applications.

Experience in the Telecommunications domain and knowledge of TM Forum Open APIs will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices.
• Build secure, high-performance REST APIs and integration layers.
• Develop cloud-native applications using containerization technologies.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design.
• Implement automated unit, integration, and API testing.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Support CI/CD automation and deployment processes.
• Prepare technical documentation, API specifications, and operational runbooks.
• Work effectively with distributed global teams.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of backend development experience.
• Solid experience in Java (Spring Boot) or Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django).
• Working knowledge of GoLang.
• REST API development and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Microservices architecture.
• Linux/Unix administration.
• Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Shell/Bash scripting.
• Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms.
• SQL and NoSQL databases.
• AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Unit testing frameworks (JUnit, PyTest, Mockito).
• API testing using Postman.
• SonarQube or similar code quality tools.
• Monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK.
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, scalability, and performance optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Telecommunications OSS/BSS experience.
• TM Forum Open APIs (TMF620, TMF622, TMF633, TMF638, TMF640, TMF641).
• Kubernetes production deployments.
• Terraform or Ansible.
• Distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.
