Role Description

The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Muvattupuzha. The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day financial accounting activities, including managing general ledger entries, preparing financial statements, and monitoring accounts payable and receivable. The role includes managing monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. The Senior Accountant will support budgeting and forecasting, analyze variances, and provide financial insights to management for decision-making. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with internal and external auditors, improving financial controls, and mentoring junior accounting team members.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decisions.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes relevant to manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with accounting software (Tally) and ERP systems, as well as strong Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
• Candidates should possess excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; professional certifications are an advantage.
• Relevant experience in a senior accounting or similar role, preferably within manufacturing or allied industries, is highly beneficial.
