Senior Accountant

FOODCO INDUSTRIES is looking for a Accountant/Senior accountant to lead financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance processes, often supervising junior accounting staff. This role reports to the Finance Manager / Controller and is based in Guwahati or Assam only. Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Lead account reconciliations and month-end close processes Ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax) Supervise and mentor junior accountants Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits. Requirements 4+ years of accounting experience, with some supervisory experience. Qualification: Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), or BA/B.Sc. with Economics/Finance. Postgraduate Degree (Optional): Master of Commerce (M.Com) or Master of Business Administration (MBA in Finance) for senior or management roles. Technical Knowledge: General ledger upkeep, GST and TDS filing. Software Proficiency: Tally Prime. CA/CMA / equivalent qualification preferred Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards and tax law.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
