About the role

The Senior Accountant performs complex accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger. Assists Manager and Supervisor in identifying issues and implementing new accounting department procedures. Performs most P&L research during closings, prepares journal entries in

conjunction with the close. Reconciles various G/L accounts. Provides advice and training to less experienced accountants. Works under general supervision from Accounting Supervisor or Accounting Manager

General Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

Strong background in Accounting with exposure to US accounting processes

Comfortable working in US hours (EST); flexibility is required

Staffing industry experience is preferred

Prior experience working with a CPA firm is highly desirable

Ability to work under tight deadlines, especially during peak periods

Hands-on experience in consolidated reporting

Strong command of MS Excel and other Microsoft products

Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare routine and non-routine entries to G/L accounts.

Analyzes account activity detailing more complex asset, liability, and capital accounts.

Coordinates processing of significant non-routine transactions into the G/L.

Reconciles and prepares accounting schedules on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.

Performs P&L research pursuant to specific accounts or other departmental inquiries.

Prepares and reviews financial performance with management and assists with operational analyses.

Coordinates with other departments in conjunction with supervisor for information and analyses required for proper accounting adjustments.

Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions on non-routine problems.

Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

About you

Education And Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Accounting.

A minimum of four (4) to six (6) years specific accounting experience is required, including account analysis and journal entry preparation.

CPA or CPA candidates preferred
