Scala Backend Developer (Marbella or Remote)

What You'll do: Design, build, and maintain highly scalable and resilient backend services using Scala. Develop event-driven, distributed systems leveraging reputed company and Kafka. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that deliver real product value. Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously evolve our backend stack with new tools and best practices. Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and proactively drive improvements. Share knowledge with teammates, mentor junior developers, and help raise the technical bar across the team reputed company note that participation in an on-call rotation every 4-6 weeks will be required for this role after the reputed company onboarding period. What You'll bring: Scala: Proficiency and hands-on experience. reputed company/Pekko: Building resilient distributed event-driven systems is reputed company to you. Experience working with Kafka, including event streaming, messaging patterns, and integration into microservices. At least 3 years of proven experience in Scala or project management. Exposure to ElasticSearch, NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra), and data modeling. Familiarity with GraphQL and API design. Knowledge of gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes. Comfort with the Play Framework. Experience in Agile environments and product lifecycle management.
