About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP HANA Database Administrator to support enterprise SAP systems in private cloud and managed services environments. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on SAP HANA administration experience, production troubleshooting skills, and knowledge of SAP ECS operations.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

Administer and monitor SAP HANA databases supporting SAP S/4HANA and other SAP applications.

Perform database health checks, performance monitoring, and SQL troubleshooting.

Manage database backups, recovery, capacity planning, and resource utilization.

Support High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR), including HANA System Replication.

Handle L2/L3 production incidents, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution.

Coordinate with SAP ECS, SAP Basis, infrastructure, and application teams.

Manage SAP incidents, service requests, and change requests.

Support SAP upgrades, migrations, system refreshes, and planned maintenance.

Maintain database security, documentation, and operational compliance.

🔹 Mandatory Skills

✅ 3–6+ years of SAP technical/database administration experience.

✅ Minimum 2 years of hands-on SAP HANA Database Administration experience.

✅ Strong knowledge of SAP HANA 2.0, MDC, SAP HANA Cockpit, and HANA SQL.

✅ Experience in database monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

✅ Knowledge of backup/recovery, HANA System Replication, and HA/DR.

✅ Experience supporting enterprise SAP production environments.

✅ Strong incident management and root cause analysis skills.

⭐ Preferred Skills

SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition (PCE), SAP ECS, RISE with SAP.

Experience with SAP-managed HANA environments.

Knowledge of SAP Basis, SAP system refreshes, upgrades, and migrations.

Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.

ITIL-based managed services and enterprise monitoring tools.

SAP HANA or SAP S/4HANA technical certifications.

🔹 Additional Requirements

Ability to support global teams and participate in on-call rotations.

Flexibility to support critical production incidents and planned maintenance outside regular business hours.

Excellent communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
