Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with strong knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting, particularly General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Tax, Withholding Tax (WHT), and Goods and Services Tax (GST). The candidate will be responsible for SAP configuration, implementation, support, issue resolution, and enhancement activities to ensure accurate financial transactions and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP FICO Configuration: Configure and support SAP FI functionalities, including GL, AP, tax procedures, and withholding tax settings.
• General Ledger (GL): Manage chart of accounts, company codes, fiscal year variants, posting periods, document types, field status groups, and GL account determination.
• Accounts Payable (AP): Configure vendor business partners, vendor reconciliation accounts, payment terms, automatic payment programs, invoice processing, and payment runs.
• Tax Configuration: Maintain tax codes, tax procedures, condition types, and account determination for applicable tax transactions.
• GST: Support India GST configuration, including CGST, SGST, IGST, input and output tax, reverse charge mechanism (RCM), and GST-related reporting.
• Withholding Tax (WHT/TDS): Configure withholding tax types and codes, tax base calculations, thresholds, exemptions, and tax postings in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Integration: Work with MM and SD teams to resolve FI-related integration issues involving procurement, vendor invoices, sales billing, and tax postings.
• Testing: Prepare and execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Production Support: Analyze and resolve incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and provide functional support for SAP FICO issues.
• Month-End and Year-End Closing: Support financial closing activities, reconciliations, accruals, and statutory reporting.
• Documentation: Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, and user manuals.
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with finance, taxation, accounts payable, technical teams, and business users.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP FICO, especially GL and AP.
• Good understanding of Indian GST and TDS/withholding tax processes.
• Experience in SAP tax configuration and automatic account determination.
• Knowledge of vendor invoice processing and payment processing.
• Understanding of financial accounting principles and statutory compliance.
• Experience in SAP implementation, rollout, enhancement, or production support.
• Knowledge of SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and the Business Partner approach.
• Knowledge of MM-FI and SD-FI integration.
• Experience with bank accounting, automatic payment programs, and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with GST returns, e-invoicing, e-way bills, and TDS reporting processes.
• Understanding of financial closing and reporting.
