Profile: Sales Engineer

Experience

24 years of experience in sales of capital goods or engineering products.

Candidates with experience in selling products such as Generators, Cables, Pumps, Motors, Compressors, Switchgears, Lighting, Electrical Equipment or other capital goods will be preferred.

Roles

Develop new business opportunities and generate leads for the company's power generation, electrical and engineering products.

Identify and approach potential customers across industrial and commercial segments to generate sales opportunities.

Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical products or solutions.

Conduct customer visits, product presentations and technical discussions with prospective and existing clients.

Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms and follow up with customers to convert enquiries into orders.

Maintain regular communication with customers and develop strong long-term business relationships.

Coordinate with the technical, engineering and service teams to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements.

Follow up on enquiries, proposals, orders and payments to achieve assigned sales targets.

Identify market opportunities, monitor competitor activities and provide relevant market feedback to the management.

Maintain proper records of leads, customer interactions, quotations, orders and sales activities.

Qualifications

Engineering background is mandatory. Candidates may have any of the following qualifications:

ITI

Diploma in Engineering

BE / B.Tech

B.Sc. / M.Sc. Electronics

Any other relevant engineering or technical qualification .
