Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and mitigating various risks, including credit risk, liquidity risk, and market risk for BFSI clients across India. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Expected Credit Loss (ECL), Liquidity Risk Framework, Capital Adequacy including ICAAP, Derivatives Valuation, and other risk management areas.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Risk Management

• Develop and implement credit risk models, including ECL, to assess the creditworthiness of counterparties.
• Analyze and monitor credit exposures, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigants.
• Collaborate with the credit risk team to develop and maintain credit risk policies and procedures.

Liquidity Risk Management

• Develop and implement a Liquidity Risk Framework including Asset Liability Management (ALM) to manage liquidity risk across the organization.
• Monitor and analyze liquidity risk metrics, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigants.
• Collaborate with the treasury team to develop and maintain liquidity risk policies and procedures.

Market Risk Management

• Develop and implement market risk models to assess the impact of market fluctuations on the organization’s portfolio.
• Analyze and monitor market risk exposures, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigants.
• Collaborate with the investment team to develop and maintain market risk policies and procedures.

Derivatives Valuation

• Develop and implement derivatives valuation models to assess the fair value of derivatives.
• Analyze and monitor derivatives valuation risks, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigants.
• Perform hedge effectiveness testing and advise on derivatives accounting under the applicable accounting standards.
• Collaborate with the trading team to develop and maintain derivatives valuation policies and procedures.

Other Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain risk management reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.
• Advise and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Control Matrix (RCMs) for related areas.
• Assisting and advising client on various regulatory compliances required by RBI, SEBI, ROC among others.
• Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, accounting, economics).
• Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, CA, MBA) are highly desirable including candidates pursuing such professional certifications.

Experience

• Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in risk management preferably.
• Experience with credit risk, liquidity risk, market risk, and derivatives valuation.
• Candidates who are fresher’s and looking to build a career in Risk Management areas are eligible.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in risk management software and tools (e.g., SAS, Python, R, Excel).
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
