Retail Pharmacist in Mira Road

Role Description This full-time on-site role for a Retail Pharmacist is based in Mira Bhayandar. The Retail Pharmacist will dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications, verify prescriptions, and ensure dosage accuracy and safety. Responsibilities include counseling customers on proper medication use, possible side effects, and interactions, as well as maintaining patient records and ensuring confidentiality. The role involves managing inventory, checking expiry dates, organizing stock, and coordinating with suppliers to avoid shortages. The Retail Pharmacist will also support billing, prescription verification, regulatory documentation, and adherence to all pharmacy laws and professional standards while providing courteous, efficient customer service.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with a B.Pharm or D.Pharm from an accredited institution, registered with the appropriate pharmacy council is add on.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and prescription verification procedures.
• Ability to provide clear, empathetic medication counseling and maintain accurate patient records.
• Experience in retail pharmacy operations, including inventory management, billing, and handling insurance or reimbursement processes.
• Attention to detail, strong ethical standards, and commitment to regulatory compliance and safety protocols.
• Good communication skills in English and local languages, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Willingness to work full-time shifts, including weekends or evenings as required by store operations.
• Previous experience as a Retail Pharmacist or in a similar healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
