Research Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Research Engineer role based in Solan. The Research Engineer will design, plan, and conduct experimental and analytical research to develop and improve home appliance technologies. Daily responsibilities include modeling and analyzing physical systems, developing and testing algorithms for control and optimization, and evaluating new materials, components, or designs for performance, efficiency, and reliability. The role involves working closely with product design, manufacturing, and quality teams to translate research findings into practical, manufacturable solutions. The Research Engineer will also document research outcomes, prepare technical reports, support patent or IP activities where applicable, and stay current with relevant scientific and engineering literature.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Algorithms, including the ability to design, analyze, and implement efficient computational solutions for engineering problems.
• Hands-on experience in Research and Development (R&D) and applied Research, with a focus on experimental design, data analysis, and validation of hypotheses.
• Solid understanding of Physics, particularly in areas relevant to electromechanical systems, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, or materials used in home appliances.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency with scientific computing tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, or similar) and familiarity with simulation or modeling software (e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Ability to design and execute laboratory experiments, analyze results using statistical methods, and communicate findings clearly in written reports and presentations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.
• Experience in consumer appliances, manufacturing, or hardware product development is a plus.
