Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Reporter at Sparta Cricket Coaching. The Reporter will cover academy activities, training sessions, matches, and player achievements, producing engaging written and multimedia content for digital platforms. Day-to-day tasks include conducting interviews with coaches and players, gathering information and statistics, writing news stories and feature articles, and preparing match reports and event summaries. The Reporter will collaborate with the coaching staff and management to ensure accurate, timely coverage and help strengthen Sparta’s presence on social media, websites, and other communication channels. The role requires proactive coordination with on-ground staff in Chennai and adherence to editorial guidelines and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong reporting and news writing skills, with the ability to gather information and present it clearly and accurately.
• Excellent communication and writing abilities for interviews, feature stories, and match reports.
• Experience or familiarity with multimedia content creation, such as photos, short videos, or social media posts.
• Knowledge or keen interest in cricket, including basic understanding of rules, formats, and performance metrics.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours, and meet deadlines consistently.
• Prior experience in journalism, sports reporting, or content creation is an advantage.
• Relevant education in Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
