Quantity Surveyor (Civil / Commercial)

About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-driven and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our project execution team in Chennai. You will be responsible for managing project finances, measuring site quantities, preparing bills of quantities (BOQ), and tracking material consumption.Key Responsibilities

• Quantity Take-offs & BOQ: Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from architectural and structural drawings. Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and measurement sheets.
• Billing & Documentation: Prepare and process interim payment applications (RA bills), client bills, and subcontractor/vendor bills based on actual site measurements.
• Cost Control & Reconciliations: Monitor actual work quantities against approved BOQ quantities and track material consumption.
• Variations & Rate Analysis: Identify, record, and price variations, extra items, and non-tendered works with proper rate analysis.
• Coordination: Work closely with site engineers, project managers, contractors, and the accounts team to ensure smooth financial closure of project packages.

Requirements

• Education: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or Quantity Surveying certification).
• Experience: 3 to 6 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Billing Engineer in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong command of measurement standards (e.g., IS 1200) and rate analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with tools like AutoCAD.
• Ability to read, interpret, and extract quantities from engineering drawings.
• Soft Skills: Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills with clear communication abilities.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹52,000.00 per month
