Quality Engineer (QA/QC – Steel Fabrication & Railway Structures)

• Prepare and implement Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
• Review and maintain WPS, PQR, WPQ and welding documentation.
• Conduct incoming, fit-up, in-process, and final inspections of fabricated steel structures.
• Coordinate and verify UT, MPI, DPT, RT, and other NDT testing reports.
• Perform dimensional inspection and ensure compliance with fabrication drawings and specifications.
• Maintain quality records including MTCs, weld traceability, calibration records, NCRs, and inspection reports.
• Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies.
• Ensure compliance with RDSO, IS Codes, AWS D1.1, and ISO 9001 quality requirements.
• Support internal quality audits and corrective/preventive action implementation.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, or Welding Engineering.

Experience

• 3–8 years in QA/QC for heavy steel fabrication, railway bridges, or structural steel projects.
• Experience in RDSO, railway, EPC, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.

Technical Skills Required

• Structural fabrication drawings and dimensional inspection

Preferred Certifications

• CSWIP / AWS Welding Inspector (Preferred)
• ASNT Level II / NDT Certification (Preferred)
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (Preferred)
