Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Playwright + AI

Title: QA Automation Engineer - Playwright + AI Location: Remote Experience: 4-8 YOE Joining Timeline: Immediate Ideal Candidate: Strong Playwright + JavaScript/TypeScript + API automation experience, with a genuine interest in using AI to modernize QA automation.

Role Overview: We’re looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on automation experience to build and scale testing for a modern, API-driven platform.

AI Experience: We’re looking for candidates who are comfortable with AI-assisted QA/development workflows.

Experience with the following is highly preferred

• Claude Code
• AI-assisted test case/test data generation
• AI agents for QA or SDLC workflows
• MCP / custom Claude skills
• Basic understanding of AI/ML and LLMs Key Requirements:
• 4+ years of QA experience, primarily focused on automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (Cypress or similar modern frameworks also considered).
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
• Experience with UI, API, and end-to-end automation.
• Hands-on API testing using Postman/Insomnia.
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of test design, regression testing, debugging, and defect analysis. Good to Have - Jira and CI/CD tools
• Kafka / event-driven systems
• ScyllaDB/Cassandra or distributed databases
• Observability/monitoring tools
• Microservices/backend testing
