QA Automation Engineer

Role Summary

Outcomes is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with experience in testing complex

desktop applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with

Tosca or similar desktop automation testing tools such as Eggplant, and a strong background in test automation, quality assurance, and defect management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for desktop applications.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis.
• Contribute to test strategy, automation framework improvements, and quality best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Software QA and Automation Testing experience.
• Strong experience with Tosca for desktop application automation.
• Experience with similar desktop automation frameworks such as Eggplant (or equivalent).
• Expertise in:
• Test Automation Frameworks
• Functional Testing
• Regression Testing
• Integration Testing
• Test Case Design & Execution
• Defect Tracking and Management
• Experience testing Windows-based desktop applications.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle database validation.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
• Experience in healthcare or enterprise software products.

Qualifications

• Experience- 5+ years
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
