About the role

About the role A product that technically works but loses an order, a payment or a customer's data is not a finished product. As our QA Automation Engineer you will make sure that what we ship behaves the way clients and their customers expect, and that it keeps doing so after the next release. What you will do • Plan testing for new features alongside the product and engineering teams, before the code is written. • Write and maintain automated tests for web applications and APIs. • Do careful manual and exploratory testing, especially on checkout, forms, permissions and data import. • Set up regression suites that run on every release and catch what changed. • Report issues clearly: what happened, how to reproduce it, how serious it is. • Check releases on real phones and common browsers, because many users are on mid-range Android devices. • Help the team decide when something is ready to release, and when it is not. What good looks like • Serious bugs are found by us, not by clients. • The important user journeys have automated checks that stay green. • Developers see you as a colleague who helps them ship, not a gate they dread.

Requirements

Must have • 2+ years in software testing with hands-on automation experience. • Experience with Playwright, Cypress or Selenium for browser tests. • Comfortable testing REST APIs with Postman or similar tools. • Strong at writing clear bug reports and test cases. • Understanding of how web applications fail: validation, permissions, concurrency, bad data. Nice to have • Experience with PHPUnit, Pest or Jest. • Basic performance and accessibility testing. • Experience setting up tests in a CI pipeline. • Previous work on e-commerce, payments or multi-role business software.
