Purchase Executive – Medical Devices & Equipment

You’ll own sourcing for medical devices and equipment: finding the right OEMs and dealers, comparing specifications, negotiating price and warranty terms, and making sure equipment is delivered, installed and handed over properly. You’ll work closely with our sales team on quotations.

What you’ll do

• Source medical devices and equipment from OEMs, authorised dealers and importers, covering monitoring devices, pathology, imaging, hospital furniture, OT equipment and more
• Read and compare technical specifications, and match products to customer and tender requirements
• Collect and compare quotations, then negotiate on price, warranty, AMC/CMC, delivery and installation terms
• Prepare costing and technical compliance sheets for quotations and tender bids
• Build and maintain a strong OEM and dealer network, including alternate brands for every category
• Raise purchase orders and track them through delivery, installation, demo and handover
• Coordinate with vendors on after-sales service and warranty claims

Who we’re looking for

• Purchase or procurement of medical devices or equipment at a distributor, hospital or institutional supplier
• Biomedical engineers who want to move into the commercial side of healthcare
• Sales coordinators or back-office staff at medical device dealers or OEMs who know products, pricing and vendors

You should also have

• 2–5 years of relevant experience
• Comfort reading product specs and brochures, and comparing models
• Good negotiation and follow-up skills
• Working knowledge of Excel and an ERP
• Biomedical Engineering, a B.Sc, B.Pharm or any graduate degree with relevant experience
