The firm supports clients across stages of growth, from entity structuring and fundraising to maturity, offering practical and reliable advisory and execution. Service areas include financial and transaction due diligence, valuation support, startup and corporate compliances, and ongoing financial advisory. The team also provides fractional CFO-style support, assisting with budgeting, cash-flow planning, MIS, internal controls, and strategic financial decision-making. Alongside advisory, the firm manages Companies Act compliances, income tax, FEMA and international transactions, audits, and accounting, keeping numbers clean and meaningful to enable clarity and sustainable growth.

Role Description This is a project-based, contract role for an Accounting and Taxation Associate, based on-site in India. The associate will support client engagements by maintaining accounting records, preparing financial statements, and assisting with audits and internal reviews. Daily responsibilities include working on income-tax computations and filings, supporting Companies Act and other statutory compliances, and helping with documentation for FEMA and international transactions. The role also involves preparing working papers for due diligence, assisting with reconciliations and MIS reports, and coordinating with senior team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project milestones. The associate will be expected to manage multiple assignments, communicate clearly with team members and clients, and follow firm processes and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and ledger management, with practical experience in bookkeeping and reconciliations.
  • Working understanding of direct tax (income tax) and indirect tax concepts, including return preparation, basic tax planning, and compliance procedures.
  • Familiarity with corporate and regulatory compliances under the Companies Act and related frameworks; exposure to FEMA and international transaction rules is an advantage.
  • Experience supporting audits, financial due diligence, and preparation of working papers, including data analysis and documentation review.
  • Proficiency with accounting and tax software, spreadsheets, and productivity tools; comfort working with Excel-based models and MIS reports.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to interpret financial and legal information accurately.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment and interact with clients respectfully.
  • Relevant academic background such as pursuing or having completed CA, CMA, or a degree in commerce, finance, or accounting; prior internship or work experience in a CA firm is preferred.
