Job Description & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Management: Manage all aspects of paint production, including work-related activities and planning.
  • Production Planning: Develop and execute production plans on a daily, monthly, and proposed date basis to meet demand and goals.
  • Production Monitoring: Monitor production to ensure alignment with planning schedules, casting parameters, and productivity targets.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance: Prioritize safety and environmental considerations in all production activities. Maintain discipline in the plant to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop production teams, including workers and contractors.
  • Foster skills development among team members.
  • Shade Development and Standardization: Oversee shade development, shade matching, and standardization processes.
  • Quality Audits: Take responsibility for internal and external audits related to production processes and quality standards.
  • Resource Utilization: Effectively manage material, equipment, and human resources to optimize production efficiency.
  • Lab Instrumentation: Have knowledge of lab instruments used in paint production and testing.
  • Specialization: Specialize in processes such as grinding, thinning, premixing, adjustment, and shade matching.
  • Quality Control: Oversee finished product testing and documentation (batch cards).
  • Participate in party sample evaluation to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Productivity Improvement: Collaborate in development initiatives and implement productivity improvement measures.
  • Material Testing: Conduct testing of raw materials used in paint production.
  • Traceability: Establish and maintain traceability for materials, intermediates, and batch cycle times.
  • SOP and Data Analysis: Develop and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Analyze production data, flow rates, and process performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, etc.).
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in paint production management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of paint manufacturing processes and quality control.
  • Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
