𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰
GTLL is looking for a results-driven 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 (ASM) to lead frontline sales operations from our Jodhpur headquarters. This is a frontline sales leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, market share, and target achievement across a designated area. The ASM will lead, coach, and manage a team of Medical Representatives (MRs), ensuring the aggressive and effective execution of GTLL's sales and marketing strategies — while building relationships with local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), expanding the prescriber base, and overseeing the local distribution network to guarantee uninterrupted product availability.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 & 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Own the region's overall sales targets, driving consistent achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas for primary and secondary sales. Forecast regional sales trends and manage the product mix to grow focus brands and successfully launch new product
𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 & 𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of MRs to maximize field productivity. Conduct regular Joint Field Work (JFW) to assess detailing skills, RCPA accuracy, and doctor interactions, providing real-time coaching. Drive recruitment, training, and retention of high-performing MRs to manage team vacancies
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 & 𝗞𝗢𝗟 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Build strong, strategic relationships with KOLs, leading specialists, and hospital administrators across the region. Mentor MRs in clinical selling skills, with a focus on converting non-prescribing doctors into active brand prescribers
𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: Appoint, evaluate, and manage the network of stockists and distributors to ensure a seamless supply chain. Ensure timely primary order execution and strict management of credit limits and outstanding payments
𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀: Analyze field data via the company's reporting app to identify territory gaps, evaluate MR call averages, and optimize Monthly Tour Programs (MTPs). Allocate promotional budgets, samples, and marketing inputs efficiently to maximize ROI
𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Gather actionable market intelligence on competitor pricing, new product launches, and regional trends for the head office. Ensure flawless on-ground execution of marketing campaigns and Continuous Medical Education (CME) initiatives
𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 & 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Review and approve MR Daily Call Reports (DCRs), leave requests, and travel expense claims in a timely manner. Conduct monthly/quarterly Review Meetings (MRMs) to evaluate target vs. achievement and define corrective action plans. Ensure full team adherence to the Uniform Code of Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices (UCPMP) and internal GTLL compliance guidelines
𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲
8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical field sales
Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive pharmaceutical market
Proven experience managing, coaching, and developing a team of Medical Representatives
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical distribution, stockist/distributor management, and supply chain coordination
Working knowledge of UCPMP and pharmaceutical compliance norms
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
