Product Manager-Power Markets

About the Role

You will own our power procurement and energy market products: demand forecasting, price forecasting, and automated bidding on power exchanges for C&I customers. You will work directly with the founding team, engineering, data science, QA, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product lifecycle: requirement gathering, PRDs, user stories, roadmap, UAT, release, and onboarding
• Define workflows for power procurement, Day-Ahead and Real-Time Market bidding, bilateral procurement, scheduling, and settlement
• Set requirements for demand and price forecasting, and track accuracy KPIs
• Define configurable bidding rules and guardrails (price ceilings, risk limits, re-bidding)
• Track Indian power market regulations (IEX, HPX, PXIL, CERC, SERCs, SLDCs) and reflect them in the product
• Work with C&I customers on discovery, demos, pilots, UAT, and go-live
• Define integrations with meter data, AMI, EMS, ERP, and billing systems
• Build dashboards and track KPIs: forecast accuracy, savings, bidding success rate, and clearing percentage

Requirements

• B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Energy, Power, or Computer Science (MBA/PGDM/M.Tech preferred)
• 4-7 years of experience, including 2-3+ years in power procurement, Open Access, power trading, or energy-tech
• Strong experience writing PRDs, user stories, and managing UAT and releases
• Experience with customer-facing SaaS or enterprise products
• Working knowledge of power exchanges, bilateral procurement, Open Access, wheeling, banking, and cross-subsidy surcharge
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills

Good to Have

• Exposure to demand forecasting, ML, or optimization models
• Presales or solution consulting experience
• Startup or SaaS environment experience
