About the Role

Vidyalam Laminates is looking for a Product Management professional who will work directly with the Managing Director (MD) and support product planning, market analysis, product development, positioning and portfolio growth. The role will require close coordination with Sales, Marketing, Design and other teams to translate market requirements into practical product opportunities.

Educational Qualification

• B.Com / Bachelor of Commerce Mandatory.
• MBA Mandatory; MBA in Product Management and Product Designing will be given preference.

Experience

2-8 years of relevant experience in Product Management, Product Development, Category Management, Marketing, Building Materials, Laminates, Furniture, Interior Products or related industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Managing Director on product-related initiatives and business requirements.
• Support the product lifecycle from product planning through market launch.
• Conduct market research to understand customer preferences, market trends and competitor offerings.
• Identify opportunities for new products, designs, colours, finishes and product ranges.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Production, Quality and Procurement teams for product development and execution.
• Analyse product performance, sales trends and market feedback to support business decisions.
• Monitor competitor products, pricing, positioning and market activities.
• Collect and analyse feedback from sales teams.
• Support new product launches and product-related marketing activities.
• Prepare product specifications, catalogues, presentations and related product documentation.
• Maintain product information, pricing data and product records.
• Prepare MIS reports, product analysis and management presentations for the MD.
• Assist in developing and implementing product strategies aligned with business objectives.

Required Skills

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Very good working knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, data analysis, tables, MIS and reporting.
• Strong proficiency in MS PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare professional management and product presentations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of Product Management, market research and competitor analysis.
• Strong coordination, follow-up and interpersonal skills.
• Good business and commercial understanding.
• Ability to work independently and directly with the Managing Director.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments within deadlines.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with B.Com and MBA, particularly an MBA specialising in Product Management, along with strong communication, analytical and presentation skills, will be preferred.
