Position: Plant HR Manager

Qualification: MBA

Experience: 15Years

Location: Coimbatore

Job Summary

The Plant HR Manager will lead the human resources function at the plant level, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives and strategies. This role focuses on managing HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, labor management, compliance, training, and development. The ideal candidate will promote a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with local, state, labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Engagement

Act as the primary HR contact for all plant employees.

Manage employee relations issues and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Implement initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and morale.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Oversee recruitment and hiring for the plant to ensure staffing needs are met.

Develop and execute workforce planning and strategies for talent pipeline development.

Partner with hiring managers to create job descriptions, interview, and onboard new hires.

Labor Relations

Manage relationships with unions, if applicable, and handle collective bargaining processes.

Address grievances, resolve labor disputes, and ensure adherence to labor contracts.

Facilitate communication between management and union representatives.

Training & Development

Identify skills gaps and coordinate training programs for plant employees.

Promote continuous learning and leadership development for team growth.

Conduct compliance, safety, and operational training as required.

Performance Management

Guide managers on conducting performance evaluations, setting goals, and providing feedback.

Address performance issues and develop improvement plans as necessary.

Manage annual review cycles and ensure fairness in performance appraisals.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with all employment laws, health, and safety regulations.

Collaborate with the Safety Department to maintain secure working conditions.

Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with policies and procedures.

Compensation & Benefits

Partner with corporate HR to manage compensation and perks for the plant.

Provide support on payroll, perks enrollment, and employee assistance programs.
