We're Hiring: Backend Developer (Node.js) | Ernakulam | Contract | Immediate Requirement

Zlan Creations is looking for an experienced Node.js Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable server-side systems for a mobile-first product.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful/GraphQL APIs for mobile and web clients
• Design and maintain database schemas; write optimized queries
• Implement caching strategies and secure authentication/authorization
• Integrate third-party services — payment gateways, verification, notifications
• Build and maintain admin-panel/backend tools
• Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews
• Collaborate closely with mobile/frontend developers on API contracts
• Support deployment, monitoring, and scaling on cloud infrastructure

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience with Node.js (Express or NestJS)
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL — schema design, indexing, query optimization
• Experience with Redis or similar caching/session tools
• Familiarity with JWT/OAuth-based authentication and secure API design
• Working knowledge of AWS or GCP (EC2/ECS, S3, RDS)
• Understanding of scalable system design — load balancing, horizontal scaling, queueing
• Git-based version control and CI/CD familiarity

Good to Have

• Payment gateway integration and subscription/recurring billing experience
• In-app purchase server-side validation (Apple/Google)
• Experience with message queues (BullMQ, RabbitMQ)
• Awareness of data protection and compliance best practices
