Network Engineer Expert (Data Center & Cloud)

Contract Network Engineer Expert for a long-term One Network Program in Madrid (hybrid 1–2 days onsite). The role focuses on data center and cloud network infrastructure, finalizing and deploying VMware NSX-T and Cisco ACI configurations, supporting production rollout of new data centers and migration from legacy environments, and delivering network POD automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Python. Requires 8+ years in network engineering within international/matrix organizations, strong L3 troubleshooting, and ability to produce technical documentation/knowledge transfer in English.

Responsibilities

• Design secure, sustainable network infrastructure solutions aligned with Group Security and CTO requirements
• Support production deployment of data centers and transition from legacy environments
• Deliver network automation for POD automation using Terraform, Ansible and Python

Requirements

• Network engineering (8+ years)
• Data center network infrastructure (routers, switches, load balancers, Internet access, DC interconnection backbone)
• Cloud networking exposure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• VMware NSX-T (hands-on deployment/configuration)
• Cisco ACI (hands-on deployment/configuration)
• Network automation using Terraform
• Network automation using Ansible
• Python for automation
• Level 3 production support and advanced troubleshooting
• Network design with security requirements alignment
• Technical documentation and knowledge transfer
