Mobile Application Tech Lead

Eligibility: 6-15 years

Qualification: B.E / B.Tech or MCA / M.Sc (CS/IT)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Mobile App Tech Lead to design, architect, and scale mobile apps. In this role, you will provide technical leadership to a team of engineers, define mobile architecture across iOS and Android, and drive the execution of complex features from concept to deployment. Position is strictly to work from our office in Chennai on all working days.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms
• Lead, mentor, and conduct code reviews for a team of mobile engineers, enforcing coding standards and engineering best practices
• Write clean, maintainable code and spearhead the integration of complex hardware communication protocols
• Oversee the implementation and management of application backends, push notifications, analytics, and databases using Firebase
• Architect solutions that comply with and utilize Mobile Device Management (MDM) frameworks for secure corporate deployments
• Partner with Product, Design, and QA teams to translate business requirements into robust technical roadmaps

Must-Have Skills

• Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in mobile application development (Native and Hybrid)
• Hands-on experience with iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin / Jetpack Compose / Java) app development
• Proven experience designing and implementing real-time chat architecture using messaging protocols such as XMPP and Publish-Subscribe (Pub/Sub) models
• Extensive experience with the Firebase ecosystem (Firestore, Realtime Database, Cloud Functions, Authentication, Crashlytics)
• Solid understanding of MDM solutions, device profiles, and enterprise mobile application management (MAM) policies
• Expertise in Socket programming
• Expertise in Test-Driven Development and Object-Oriented Programming
• Proven track record of architecting and shipping scalable apps using modern design patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture) and robust CI/CD pipelines
• Proven track record of guiding and leading a team

Good-to-Have

• Experience with low-level communication protocols, specifically NFC (Near Field Communication) and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), and Camera integrations
• Experience with cross-platform frameworks — Compose Multiplatform, Flutter, React Native, or Kotlin Multiplatform
• Hands-on experience with FCM/OpenFire
